What kind of effect does having Mars in Scorpio have on your life?
I'm relatively new, so I don't know if this is a stupid question, but this intrigues me. Can this alignment weigh heavily on the way you react to things, view yourself, or anything else? Is it a positive or negative thing (I'm supposing a little of both)?
I read what I can from the resources I have, but I'm more interested in what you guys have to say on it.

Mon, February 26, 2007 - 2:47 PMMars is the planet of war and aggression, Zodiacally speaking. Scorpio is a sign associated with intense and somewhat dark desires and motivations. When you put the two together- BLAMM-O. Watch out! Most, if not all of the people here are, from my perspective, aware of their outsized focus on all things sexual. Sometimes this can involve fantasies which involve violence. I think we come here to talk about it frankly. I'd say we're trying to get down to the bottom of what's positive and negative about this planetary positioning.

hidden desires and motivations, inpenatrable gaze, the shapeshifter of the zodiac...but always the intensity, and often in the sexual realm. But there too, it need not be a dark experience. (It could even refer to tantric bliss!) While we are all familiar with the Scorpion as representing Scorpio, note that the Eagle is considered to be the higher form of Scorpionic energy symbolized. The eagle, seldom seen, has the overview of the situation and is thus, keenly aware, calculating his timing. Hidden agendas or protection of what we value is intensified. Sat, April 21, 2007 - 8:01 AMMars in scorpio makes me rather emotionally attatched to anyone I become involved with romantically. This is tempered by my sun in Aquarius/ Capricorn Ascendant but I still feel the effects of it internally. My partners almost never can tell and in fact, they usually see me as emotionally detatched!

Sat, August 18, 2007 - 6:31 AMNot only do I have Mars in Scorpio, but it is opposition my Taurus Sun and retrograde which means it was close to the earth at the time of my birth. One thing I've noticed is that when Mars is "around", so to speak, I can be very impatient, testy, and sarcastic. I hate that in myself!
I'd like to hear from those who have Mars retrograde. Are we really so different from those with Mars direct, and how? -

Sun, September 2, 2007 - 11:14 AMI also have Sun in Taurus opp Mars in Scorp retro. The aspect itself has a zero degree orb and is the tighest aspect in my chart. I can feel the retro on such a deep level because I know I have this reservoir of intense energy that I don't know how to express properly. My chart ruler is Mercury because my ascendant is in Virgo conjunct my moon in Virgo and my North Node is in Gemini along with my Midheaven. My Mars is in the 3rd house of gemini and Mercury in Aries in the 8th. There's a lot of intense energy when it comes to Mercurial matters and when the energy comes unders grasp, my Mars in Scoripo will definintely have a larger role in my life. Mercury is also the only planet to have an aspect with my Pluto in Scorpio which is WONDERFUL because I dont' think I could handle anymore Pluto. I'm a Taurus for crying out loud! -

When I'm buying groceries or coming face to face with someone for the first time, a lot of the times they stare at me like they don't know what to do. And they seem almost surprised if I open my mouth and speak ENGLISH! Does this happen to any of you? There's nothing more funny though to surprise the crap out of someone by just speaking! LOL! I wonder if this has to do with M in S energy. -

I sometimes wondered if it had to do with my voice, but I've heard my voice in messages before and it doesn't sound unusual... I definitely believe it has to do with the intense Scorpio energy. I also have a Scorpio MC conjunct Pluto so I bet that adds to it!
